QualificationsApplicants must satisfy the following essential criteria:
• Postgraduate qualification in Marketing
• Considerable experience in Digital Marketing at a senior level
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of current online marketing
concepts, strategy and best practice.
Applicants who possess the following will be at a distinct
advantage:
• Qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing or
equivalent
The successful candidate will report to the Director, Marketing
and Communications and will be required to:
• Position and promote The UWI, Mona on the World Wide Web and
online communities in support of recruitment, outreach, research
and general growth strategies;
• Strategically plan, develop, and deliver a digital marketingcommunications
strategy and initiatives to support the University's
strategic objectives and communications needs;
• Conduct and secure research to identify business needs and user
needs to meet the University's strategic marketing and
communications objectives via web, digital and social channels;
• Coordinate online customer relationship and engagement strategies
through uploading content, advertising UWI events, initiatives and
milestones and engaging users;
• Assist in development of online advertising and promotional plans in
support of recruitment, outreach, research and general growth
strategies including though not limited to Google AdSense, direct
advertising, link exchanges and link promotions
